MY STORY In my twenties I read a lot about parapsychology, esoteric, Yoga, and religions from the Far East. Meditation and Esoteric become my life. I neglect my engineering studies. My exercises are: breathing exercises and Meditation. I also get to know Transcendental Meditation. I am Brahma, a part of God, like every other human being. But this reality needs to become real through meditation. I enjoy practicing meditation and put all my hope on it , but a growing disappointment fills my heart. The progress is very slow. Can Meditation really keep its promises? Problems in my studies and in my life with my parents and my friends increase. Then one day the famous movie „THE 10 COMMANDMENTS“ shows in the local cinema. When it showed before I had missed it, but NOW was the chance to see it. I watch the movie an am fascinated. The fight between God and the gods and the powers of Egypt is very fascinating. The Egyptian sorcerers can do a lot, but so much less than what the God of Israel can do. The Indian gods who I knew by reading have also many problems. They are more like mixed beings of gods and humans, with all human kinds of mistakes. What I see in that movie brings up many questions in me. What is the truth? God, the God of Moses or the other religions of the world, like that of India? Some Indian teachers of religion may look like scientists, but they make more a kind of religious statements, that cannot be proved. A fight begins in me, a fight between light and darkness. What is the truth? The turnaround To understand the movie and the questions it brings up I buy a Bible and begin to read in it. The words of the Bible do not let me go. God works in me. I begin to put my trust in God. GOD is the almighty creator, nobody and nothing is like HIM. He is the Lord over all human beings. Religions are men-made, but the Bible comes from God, is inspired by God. Meditation and its mental states are in the realm of the psyche and sometimes under the influence of spirits. There is no connection to the true God, because he is different from mankind. I read about Jesus, the Son of God. He Is GOD, He is the Way, the TRUTH and the LIFE. Nobody can come to God the father, except through Jesus. I begin to pray, the prayer Jesus taught us: OUR FATHER......I I become a child, a son of God. My sins are forgiven and the sins of the world too through His death at the cross. God loves me. He has accepted me. I belong to Him and am moved to His heavenly kingdom. I belong to the world-wide family of Christ. How wonderful. At home I stop my Meditation practice. Later I burn all my books on Meditation and my esoteric books too. In the Bible alone does God reveal show Himself. Jesus gives me one of his famous words in my heart that will lead my life. It says: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (The Bible, Joh.14:6). Through the invitation of a friend I join the Christian Youth group of Christian Endeavor. That is where I learn a lot more about Jesus. I also get to know the theological Seminary TABOR in Marburg and go there to study Theology. After graduation I work as a pastor and later God leads my wife and me to the Far East to serve Him as missionaries in Taiwan and Thailand for many years. Now we are back in Germany and enjoy being retired. We praise and thank our God for His grace. We pray and help that many more people can become God children through our life and testimony. We pray that many more people get to know Jesus and enjoy to live according to His word. God bless you, dear reader.
